Francis Gagliano, Marketing Manager

Q: What’s the best thing about working at ClearEdge?

A: The opportunity to bring my ideas to the table and have them be heard and implemented by the executives at the company. It’s truly a great place to grow as a professional because there are so many chances to create new solutions to our day-to-day business challenges. Seeing the impact that I can make is extremely rewarding.

Q: What’s your back story?

A: I came to ClearEdge 3 years ago and started as an analyst right out of college. From there, I worked my way up within analytics to lead cases for Professional IT Services engagements, Salesforce.com deals, and Splunk deals. Using the knowledge I gained as an analyst, I transitioned to the marketing team to help ClearEdge produce content that can be used to engage clients and boost sales leads.

Q: What’s your typical day like?

A: Before I do anything, I make a glass of green tea and touch base with my teammates over Microsoft Teams or in-person. There is nothing better than starting the day with a little caffeine and some lively banter with good friends in the office.

Next, I take a moment to jot down some ideas I’ve seen other companies use to promote their brand and think of how ClearEdge might implement them in our marketing. Every so often, one of those ideas will turn into a new project that shapes new content, or a deliverable, or a sales opportunity, which is cool.

Q: What do you see as your next step at ClearEdge?

A: I’m looking to learn as much as I can from my co-workers. Each of them has a diverse set of abilities that I want to tap into, and I feel lucky that they are such a talented group to learn from. It’s a very collegial environment here and getting to know more about my co-workers’ different backgrounds, skill sets, and perspectives on our business has helped me become more well-rounded.

Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A: I wanted to be just like my dad. He was a very successful college athlete, and even spent some time playing minor league baseball. He’s always been my north star. I feel that the competitive nature that I’ve gained from a lifetime playing sports has helped me grow as a professional and define me as a team player at ClearEdge.

Q: What do you do outside of work?

A: As an avid photographer, I love nothing more than to go on a hike with my fiancé and our dog, Skandy, to explore new terrain and document our memories.
